Oira

Everyone can picture the typical Ukrainian dancing scene, where the boys are teasing the girls and the girls playfully try to ignore the boy’s mischief. “Oira”, based on authentic ideas, is a dance that comes right from the heart of the Polissian region. This dance shows the fun, flirtatious energy and exciting creativity of the Polissian people. From the good natured teasing between the boys and girls to the creative improvising with household items, this dance conveys a feeling of happy and fun excitement on stage.
